[01] Overview  /  [02] Company

An engineering team
that happens to do procurement.

Quatix Supply was founded in 2009 in Rotterdam by four supply-chain engineers who got tired of watching $40m projects slip on $40,000 parts. We built the firm we wished we could have hired. Today we run global procurement for industrial buyers in 48 countries.

[02·01] Origin

Built by engineers, for engineers.

Our co-founders met on a refinery turnaround in Rotterdam in 2007. A critical heat-exchanger bundle was sixteen weeks late, threatening a €38m production loss. They sourced an alternative bundle through a chain of seven phone calls — and delivered it in eleven days.

Two years later Quatix opened on the same dock. The thesis hasn't changed: industrial buyers don't need a marketplace; they need an engineering team with a freight desk.

Seventeen years on, we have shipped 9,400 POs across 1,840 lanes and 48 countries — and we still answer the phone.

[02·04] Operating principles

Four rules we don't bend.

Written on every PO. Recited at every onboarding. Audited every quarter.

PRN-01Always

One number, both ways.

The price we tell the buyer is the price we hold to the supplier. No hidden margin tiers; no PO uplifts; no spot-market gaming on locked POs. The audit trail is open to the client at any time.

PRN-02Always

Engineer-owned accounts.

No commercial layer between you and the person who actually understands the spec. Procurement engineers own the relationship, the negotiation and the recovery if something goes wrong.

PRN-03Always

Inspect, then ship.

Every PO above $25k is independently inspected at origin before release-for-shipment. Inspection reports are uploaded to the buyer portal within 24 hours of the visit, in full.

PRN-04Never

Sanctioned counterparties.

Every supplier and beneficial owner is screened against OFAC, EU, UN, UK and Dutch sanction registers — at onboarding and quarterly thereafter. We refuse business we cannot defend.
